Thursday July 16th-  Every third Thursday of each month from 6 -10 pm, Verde at PAMM will offer unique happy hour menus prepared by Chef Kaytlin Brakefield. This month guests can also enjoy sounds provided by Poplife Social, featuring Juan Garcia with opening and closing sets by Pirate Stereo from Slap & Tickle and Kid Bougie while drinking beer and wine for $6 or specialty cocktails for $9. Thursday July 16thNow in its 27th year, Share Our Strength’Taste of the Nation  @TOTNSFla is the region’s premier culinary benefit dedicated to ending childhood hunger, and will showcase close to 50 of the hottest restaurants from both Dade and Broward counties, top chefs, sommeliers, mixologists and brewers.  The annual tasting event will take place from 7PM to 10PM, at Loews Miami Beach, followed by the after party, "Chefs On The Half Shell"  from 10PM to Midnight. General admission tickets are priced at $125 per person. Tuesday July 21st-  Miami Beach’s award-winning neighborhood restaurant, Tongue & Cheek, is gearing up for its second annual Kitchen Collab “Summer Series” with a focus on New Orleans’ ever-evolving culinary landscape. First at the line is James Beard-nominated chef Slade Rushing of Brennans, one of the French Quarter’s oldest institutions. Steeped in the broad range of southern culinary tradition, Rushing interprets classic New Orleans favorites with a lighter hand and contemporary precision. His menu offerings reveal a reverence for the French, Spanish, and Italian influence on New Orleans cuisine, and a recognition of more recently arrived flavors and techniques -- such as Vietnamese -- The menu will showcase five courses of dishes that are indigenous to New Orleans modified by Chef/Owner Jamie DeRosa’s signature whimsy and the fresh ingredients of South Florida. Tuesday July 21st- Meat Market returns this month with a sumptuous four-course champagne pairing dinner from Executive Chef/Co-Owner Sean Brasel and pours from Charles Heidsieck Champagnes. The second of this year’s series, the dinner is priced at $150 per person (excluding tax and gratuity) and starts with a cocktail reception at 7:30PM, followed by the sit-down dinner at 8PM. Sample of just some of the menu items include: Pink Grapefruit Ceviche Spoons and Passion Fruit Tuna Tartare paired with Piper Heidsieck. Deconstructed Achiote Shrimp Empanada, with Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve.  Sous Vide Duck Breast topped with Honey Mustard and Toasted Brioche with Wild Berry Chutney, Vanilla Foam with Charles Heidsieck Rosé Reserve and Seared Scallops, Short Rib Marmalade, Cauliflower Vanilla Crema, Baby Frisée Micro Lettuce Salad with Toasted Walnut Dressing and 1995 Charles Heidsieck Blanc Des Millenaries. Thursday July 23rdHot off Bravo TV's Best New Restaurant, the series winner, Dolce Italian plays host to fellow show competitor, The Federal for a three course Miami Spice Mash-up dinner featuring both chefs Miami Spice menu items on on Thursday, July 23 beginning at 7 pm. Chefs Paolo Dorigato and Cesar Zapata will team up to create an exclusive Miami Spice menu from what are sure to be two of the summer’s most popular Spice destinations. This specially crafted three-course meal will feature two selections from each restaurant for each course and is priced at $65 per person.   Also included, a complimentary pour of Stella Artois and one complimentary glass each of Terrazas Reserva Chardonnay and Terrazas Reserva Malbec (price excluding tax, tip and additional beverage purchases). Thursday July 23rd and ongoing Thursdays- SUSHISAMBA Coral Gables is heating up their weekly Robata Rub Thursdays promotion with a special guest chef summer series kicking off on Thursday, July 23 and continuing every other Thursday from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. throughout the summer.  Taking to Coral Gables’ only robata grill will be Executive Chef David Sears and his guest co-host, who will indulge barbecue-loving-enthusiasts in a special menu as well as provide tips ranging from how to blend the perfect rub to how get the most from a marinade.  Throughout the evening, guests can enjoy five specialty robata menu items paired with two signature Ocucaje pisco cocktails for $50 pp.  Kicking off the series on July 23rd, will be Culinary Director of New York Wine & Food Festival and Culinary Advisor of South Beach Wine & Food Festival, Terry Zarikian.  SUSHISAMBA Coral Gables 180 Aragon Ave. Coral Gables, FL 305.448.4990

CENA by Michy is alleviating the summer blues by bringing it’s special weekly Wednesday night all-you-care-to-eat fried chicken feast back for a limited time. Since award-winning chef Michelle Bernstein and husband/partner David Martinez re-opened their newly renovated MiMO landmark Michy’s as CENA by Michy in May 2015, fans have been clamoring for the James Beard Award-winning chef’s to-die-for fried chicken, a longtime Michy’s summer staple. “People kept asking if we were going to have fried chicken on the CENA menu,” said Bernstein.  “Our Michy’s regulars loved it so much we decided to bring it back at CENA for fans, old and new.”  The promotion will start Wednesday, July 15, 2015 and run through the summer months.  Priced at $39 per person, excluding tax/gratuity and beverage – features endless helpings of Bernstein’s signature recipe fried chicken – flavorful and crisp, juicy but not greasy – served with a bottomless parade of sides: flaky biscuits, mashed potatoes ‘n gravy, Southern slaw, and watermelon wedge salad.
