Up the Miami River for Brunch at Seaspice

The Miami River, which runs for over 5 miles from Biscayne Bay, thru the middle of Downtown and basically up to Miami International Airport is one of Miami’s least respected waterways but “going up the river” makes for a wonderful boating excursion.

With this past week’s Miami International Boat Show in town, it seemed appropriate to mention the classic Miami River seafood restaurants, Garcia’s and Casablanca and to feature the weekend brunch at one of the hippest destinations on the Miami River, Seaspice. Seaspice’s riverside weekend brunch, which includes a new Saturday "family-approved" brunch featuring live music from “around the world”, in addition to it’s already popular Sunday brunch, gives guests a win-win weekend experience all around.

Saturday: The family-friendly affair includes a live band crooning modern hits and classic favorites in main dining room from around the world as brunch items of Lobster Benedict, Deviled Eggs, Short Rib Benedict, Baked Shrimp & Eggs Casserole and Oysters Rockefeller Benedict, or a la carte options make their rounds through the room. Those seeking a livelier ambiance can request outdoor seating where Seaspice’s resident DJ is on decks spinning vocal house music tracks.

Sunday: Sunday is the new Friday at Seaspice’s raucous brunch where guests arrive by boat and brace themselves for the week ahead with the numerous brunch options and refreshing cocktails like the Persea Martini, Ginger Passion, and Cucumberry, as they dance to upbeat house beats with friends.

If you plan on taking a boat up to Seaspice, the dock pricing is $2 per foot for the first 2 hours, and then $2- per foot for each subsequent hour and reservations for a boat slip are required.

AND, as for you landlubbers, you can also drive, valet park or Uber to Seaspice.
