TALDE Launches New Menu Items & Happy Hour
TALDE Miami Beach is not only known for its eclectic, Mafioso rap culture-esque environment and great playlists, but also the classic Chinese-driven dishes made by chef and entertaining personality, Dale Talde. This month he released a few new menu items that he says are inspired by what he craves when he wakes up at noon after a long night out. New dishes include, Chicken Fried Rice, General Talde’s Chicken, Shrimp Toast, Fried Dumplings and a few others.
We stopped in for dinner (and of course their newly launched happy hour) recently to see what all the hype was about. One bite of the Shrimp Toast – with preserved vegetables and soy vinegar aioli – and we knew we were hooked and ready to eat one of everything on the new menu.
The General Talde’s Chicken offers just enough crisp on the outside and is perfectly tender on the inside. It’s got a bit of a kick but not too much to offend those who can’t handle the heat.
The Hong Kong Noodles made with minced pork, Chinese sausage, and smoked oyster sauce were definitely something one could see craving after a night on the town.
The Char Siu Pork Ribs served with tingling watermelon salad were fall-off-the-bone tender . The Black Pepper Beef was full of classic Chinese flavors and easily one of the favorites of the night. Dinner was hearty and delicious – and definitely worth coming back for more.
If the new dinner menu items aren’t enough to bring you in – then maybe Happy Hour is more your style. TALDE newly launched daily happy hour, is exclusively available in the newly transformed lounge area. Curl up in the cozy seating and couches, as Happy Hour is available every night from 6pm to 8pm. The happy hour menu includes Kung Pao Chicken Wings, Sweet Pea Samosas with golden raisin chtney, Bao Buns, half-off beers, wine by the glass and select cocktails.
While the cocktail menu hasn’t been revamped, they are still serving TALDE classics like the Plum Basil Margarita and the Green Lightning made with house infused green tea vodka, green tea, cucumber, and lime. The lounge has been fully redesigned by the Saladino Brothers, the same minds behind the hotel’s backyard outpost, Nina’s House, as well as custom art by graffiti artist Abstrk.
As always TALDE will still thrive with the usual weekly specials like Baby Got Bao Buns on Thursdays from 6pm - midnight, and Late Night Noodles every Friday and Saturday from 12midnight – 2am.
