MIAbites x Pinch Kitchen Natural Wines Pairing Dinner

It’s no secret that the MIAbites team loves wine — especially when there’s a chance to learn about the wine we’re drinking. That’s why when Pinch Kitchen approached us about teaming up with them to host a natural wines pairing dinner with Cerdá, Llanos & Cía (whose mission is to curate wine for "wine explorers), we were all in.

On Tuesday, April 24th, MIAbites x Pinch Kitchen will be hosting the restaurant’s first wine pairing dinner of the year. This dinner will be raising money to benefit the Miami Rescue Mission — a local non-profit that helps transform the lives of homeless men, women, and children.

Chefs John Gallo and Rene Reyes have created a special menu to be paired with the natural wines in Cerdá, Llanos & Cía’s portfolio. As each course is served, guests will get a chance to learn more about natural wines and what makes them different from most wines we’re used to drinking.

In a fun exciting twist, I’m personally teaming up with Pinch and Frice Cream to create the dessert for the evening! It’s inspired by my favorite guilty pleasure dessert: brownies a la mode.  

The dishes will be presented family style and will include the following:

Cucumber canoe with walnut pesto, greek yogurt, wild mushrooms, radish 

Bodegas Callejuela - Blanco de Hornillos NV (Cadiz Region - Spain)

Second course:

Smoked ham raviolo with ricotta, oyster au jus, candied bacon

Cacique Maravilla Pipeño 2017 (Bio Bio Valley - Chile)

Third course:

Beef short rib with chermoula and pressed roasted potatoes

Philippe Jambon - Une Tranche Sudiste Rhône Blend 2015 (Rhône Valley - France)
