Weekly Nibble: Easter Brunch in Miami

After the Easter Egg Hunt is over and the Chocolate bunnies have been unwrapped, head out to some delicious Easter Sunday brunches in Miami and on Miami Beach.  Here is just a sampling of some options:

Fontainebleau Miami Beach: The newest restaurant at the Fontainebleau hotel, StripSteak by Michael Mina will be offering Easter brunch at $68 per person; The brunch includes choice of appetizer, including braised bacon with tempura oyster, jicama salad and sweet soy glaze and duck & ricotta cavatelli with black trumpet mushrooms, parmesan and butternut squash. Choices of entrée will feature American Wagyu flat iron steak, wood grilled and served with a house-made smoked onion steak sauce; butter poached Maine lobster atop toasted sourdough with avocado and hollandaise and brioche French toast with salted caramel, maple reduction and toasted oat whipped cream. 4441 Collins Ave, Miami Beach. 305 538 2000. 

SUGARCANE raw bar grill: Executive Chef Timon will be offering a la carte special Easter specials such as Skillet Vanilla studded sweet Easter bread, jam & butter Roasted peppers Shakshuka organic eggs & crumbled feta Crab Benedict brioche & hollandaise Grilled Lamb Chops yogurt & pomegranate relish. 3252 NE 1st Ave. Reservations can be made by calling: 786 369 0353.

BULLA Gastrobar: If you’re in Coral Gables, Chef Diego is offering a brunch tasting menu. Guests can select three dishes from their Huevos; Tapas y Raciones; Platos Familiares and Dulces section with dishes like Cordero y Setas braised lamb, crimini, oyster mushrooms, poached egg and mint oil; Voulevant con Espinacas voulevant, creamed spinach, quail eggs and hollandaise sauce and Churros con Chocolate traditional fried dough, chocolate sauce and dulce de leche.  In addition ,guests can opt in for bottomless sangrias and mimosas – or both! $27 per person and additional $15 per person for bottomless mimosas and sangrias.

DB BISTRO MODERNE MIAMI- Chef Jason Pringle offers a special prix fixe menu with selections from its French inspired cuisine. From 11 a.m. until 3:30 p.m, and priced at $52 pp/ $30 ( children 10 and younger) RESERVATIONS: Please call db Bistro Moderne at 305 421 8800.

Verde at Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) is offering specials by Chef Kaytlin Brakefield at the restaurant overlooking the Port. Guests can start their meal off with a glass of champagne with options like Moet Chandon ‘Brut Imperial,’ Veuve Clicquot ‘Yellow Label,’ and Perrier Jouet ‘Grand Brut’ with a view of Miami. For an additional charge, guests can enhance their glass of bubbly with Paradise Farms passion fruit or guava. TERRAZZA AT SHORE CLUB- Shore Club’s poolside restaurant Terrazza celebrates Easter Sunday with an Easter brunch buffet that will feature a live raw bar, charcuterie and cheese station, salads, assorted pizzas, live carving station, live omelet station, live pasta station, small plates and desserts. Menu items include the Snapper Ceviche, assorted East and West Coast mix of Oysters, whole roasted Prime Rib, Churrasco Skirt Steak served with seasonal vegetables, and Sesame crusted Seared Tuna over French green beans, cherry tomato, with a citrus ponzu sauce. LA SAVINA AT MONDRIAN SOUTH BEACH will serve up brunch with a view of Biscayne Bay. You’re invited to enjoy a holiday buffet and la carte specials, plus an endless Mimosa and Bloody Mary Bar, overlooking beautiful Biscayne Bay. La Savina’s Easter brunch buffet will feature omelets made to order, a Chef’s Table and hot special plates, including – Seasonal Fruit, Artisan Cheeses, Parfait Station, a classic French Toast, and a selection of house made Quiche. A special a la carte menu offers omelets, pancakes, benedicts, steak and eggs and Branzino a la Plancha, as well as sides and sweets. Bocce: Chef Nunzio celebrate the Spring Harvest Pasqua as the Italians would with their signature brunch with special entrees such as Parmigiana di Melanzane oven baked eggplant parmigiana; Ricotta Pancake, Strawberry stew, orange honey; Brasato di Manzo braised short ribs, English pea purée, horseradish.  La Mar by Gaston Acurio: Chef Diego Oka will serving up the restaurant’s Peruvian-inspired Family Sunday Brunch from 12-3:30 p.m. complete with Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Bunny photo op.  Menu items feature dishes such as the Churrasco a Lo Pobre with ribeye angus beef, chimichurri, beans and rice tacu-tacu, egg, and fried banana and the Lomo Saltado and Fried Egg with angus beef, stir fried potatoes, red onions, tomatoes, soy sauce, cilantro, aji Amarillo, rice.  Pricing of $85 or $120 pp with both options still providing unlimited brunch cocktails and champagne. Pricing for children ages 6-12 is $35 for buffet only or $55 with a kid’s entrée (either from the regular menu or kids menu). Devon Seafood + Steak: Celebrate Easter Sunday at Kendall’s, Devon Seafood + Steak, serving fresh ocean fare and sizzling prime steaks.
