The Holiday overeating and overdrinking season is behind us.  Whether eating healthier is your New Years Resolution or not, let the healthy eating begin at these Miami places and maybe even lose some of those extra pounds.  Here are MIAbites favorite spots for Juices, Healthy Bowls and Vegetarian or Plant-based/Vegan dining:

Jugo Fresh- Jugofresh sells organic cold-pressed juices, smoothies and vegan foods (bowls, salads, sandwiches). Green Gables Cafe- Small eatery specializing in to-go and delivery orders. Try the roasted eggplant & hummus wrap, a salad, Green gazpacho or other vegan soups made daily. The Last Carrot- No-frills deli with wide assortment of hummus wraps, salads, smoothies and more. The spinach pie is a winner. 3131 Grand Ave. Coconut Grove, FL.

Choices Cafe- The all-vegan, 95% organic menu at Choices includes wraps, quinoa bowls, pizza, salads and soups. The Mental Lentil wrap (lentil patty, black beans, quinoa, pico de gallo, plantain, sauteed onion, avocado, tahini sauce) is one of their popular, signature dishes. Juices and smoothies, delicious desserts, and beer and wine are also available. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Clean, modern atmosphere. Breakfast served daily (tofu scramble, pancakes!). GLAM- NEW Plant-based dining that is both delicious and beautiful.  Special daily soup options, pasta (or zucchini noodles) with meatless meatballs, mushroom faro "risotto" and jackfruit al pastor tacos. 3301 NE 1st St in Midtown. Miami, FL 786 864 0590

Soul Tavern- NEW Plant-based and Gluten Free comes to Sunset Harbor.  Lots of fresh salads, pizzas and creative dishes like an oyster mushroom and burnt eggplant handroll, black bean and sweet plantain sliders and Korean BBQ tempeh banh mi. Open for brunch. 1801 West Ave. Miami FL 305 925 0799.

Full Bloom- MOVING January 8th to Crest Hotel 1670 James St.-While we will miss the gorgeous Biscayne Bay view from Full Blooms original location on Island Ave, the menu is still a vegan eaters dream, with jackfruit empanadas, a creamy turmeric kale salad, Thai red curry with Thai red rice, oven baked plantain lasagna and jackfruit ropa vieja. 1670 James St. Miami Beach, FL. 

Berri Bar - NEW- Right off Lincoln Road. Go for freshly made great acai bowls, healthy juices and smoothies. 1630 Pennsylvania Ave. Miami Beach. FL.

della Test Kitchen- Anchoring Wynwood Yard, della's offers favorite bowls in addition to "Build your own" healthy bowls will selections including bases of rice, quinoa and greens topped with proteins like tempeh, chickpeas, veggies like marinated kale or sweet potato, sauces like citrus tahini and curry cashew and boosts of avocado and raw roots.   56 NW 29th St. Miami, FL.

Seasons 52 - Recommended for its vegan options, including the Winter Market Vegetable Plate (roasted vegetables, grilled tofu and cracked wheat tabbouleh). Also, vegan soups, salads and appetizers, and delicious flatbreads that can be made vegan.
