NOW OPEN: Andres Carne des Res
A few years ago, while visiting Colombia, we drove out to the outskirts of Bogotá to a small town called Chiá to have dinner at Andres Carne de Res.
It was a wild and memorable night, with singing, dancing, stilt walkers, live music and amazing grilled meats and more.
Miami Beach now has it’s own Andres Carne de Res right on the corner of Lincoln Road, towering four stories of entertainment that promises to be popular with both locals and tourists.
Founded by Andrés Jaramillo in 1982 alongside his wife, María Stella Ramirez, this Colombian staple began as a modest eatery with a handful of tables and a handmade sign. They transformed a small roadside hut in Chía, Colombia, into a vibrant cultural haven, seamlessly blending Colombian identity, art, and gastronomy into a unique, immersive experience. Over the past four decades, it has blossomed into a culinary institution with locations across Colombia, including Chía, Bogotá, Medellín, and Cartagena. Recognized in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants guide as one of Latin America's premier dining and nightlife experiences.
“We are thrilled to bring the soul of Andrés Carne de Res to Miami,” says Andrés Jaramillo, founder and visionary of Andrés Carne de Res. “For over forty years, we’ve celebrated Colombian culture through food, music, and art. With its vibrant Latin community and appreciation for diverse flavors, Miami feels like the perfect place to start our U.S. journey. We’re excited to share the spirit of Colombia with our guests here, creating an unforgettable experience that combines the warmth of our culture with the energy of this amazing city.”
The menu also boasts a tempting selection of Colombian favorites including expertly grilled meats, juicy Picanha Steaks, savory Churrasco, and richly seasoned Chuletón de Res. Seafood lovers can dive into the Caribbean Shrimp Ceviche, served with crispy Patacón, or enjoy the classic Shrimp Encocado with coconut rice.
No Colombian feast is complete without traditional Arepas, Tostones, or savory Empanadas.
The ideal location for drinks of any kind, Andrés Carne de Res even has a multi-page beverage menu featuring a diverse selection of refreshing cocktails, traditional Colombian drinks, and an array of craft beers and wines.
The Miami Beach location draws inspiration from Colombian craftsmanship with wood furnishings, metal accents, and colorful hand-painted murals and plates. The expansive 10,000-square-foot, 400-seat restaurant spans four floors, each with a distinct experience.
The main dining room immerses guests in a lively, energetic ambiance to enjoy signature dishes featuring a stage for live entertainment; the mezzanine offers an intimate, elevated space perfect for private gatherings and a large bar; the takeout spot provides a convenient area for “to go” favorites; and the rooftop terrace serves as a rooftop retreat with stunning Miami Beach views, inviting guests to unwind with cocktails and Colombian flavors.
At Andrés Carne de Res, dining is only part of the experience, and the restaurant is celebrated equally for its vibrant entertainment and live music.
Don’t miss the eclectic gift shop at Andrés Carne de Res , as it is a treasure of Colombian culture and artistry, allowing guests to bring a piece of the restaurant’s unique spirit home. Filled with colorful, handcrafted items, the shop displays everything from traditional Colombian jewelry and artisanal pottery to vibrant textiles and playful souvenirs.
