Wellness Wednesday: Stash House Market- New Vegan Spot in West Palm Beach

2019 is all about eating healthy, taking care of your body, and taking care of the planet. In alignment with this, I had the chance to eat at a new 100% plant-based restaurant in West Palm Beach called Stash House Market.

I have to admit that I have never been to a plant-based restaurant before and I cannot even say that, besides a Beyond Meat Burger, I have ever even eaten a plant-based meal. I am absolutely astounded at the taste of the food, freshness of the ingredients, and just how “real” the meat and dairy tasted!

Stash House Market is located at Northwood Village in West Palm Beach. With plenty of upscale, unique wellness shops and spas within walking distance, this is the perfect location for a plant-based restaurant. Led by Chef Goicochea, who he himself is vegan, the menu focuses on providing guests with an eco-friendly and sustainable approach to eating flavorful, high quality dishes.

What makes the food extra special is that he hand-picks the produce from local farms. Since they only use local ingredients, the menu changes seasonally, providing you with the opportunity to try an array of food, but also keeping the food as fresh as possible. When you eat at Stash House, you really are getting a true farm-to-table dining experience.

Aside from being plant-based, most of their menu is gluten free and refined-sugar free (except for the desserts), and they also offer wine, beer, cocktails, and kombucha. In addition to being a full restaurant, they also have a catering company in which all of the food is plant-based, gluten free, soy free, and refined sugar free. Stash House believes in sustainability and being as eco-friendly as possible. In fact, they are working with the City of West Palm Beach to obtain energy-efficient solar panel tiles.

What we ate: Charcuterie board with herbed goat cheese, ricotta cheese, grilled preserved candy pear, caramelized pear chips, gluten free bread, and gluten free focaccia bread.

Palmetto Way Burger (adobo marinated Impossible Burger patty with sofrito onions and homemade mustard sauce) that resembled a cheese steak on the gluten free foccacia. Highly rated is also their Provoleta, a flame grilled “Provolone” in a skillet.

Yucca cheese croquettes; and a White Chocolate Key Lime Tart (macadamia almond crust layered with key lime compote, caramel, lime zested cream, and finished with white chocolate slices).

Whether you are looking for a local happy hour spot, dinner, or even dessert, there is something for everyone at Stash House Market. I am already planning my next outing there
