Brunch at Cantina La Veinte in Brickell

Cantina la Veinte Sunday Buffet Miami

It may be Taco Tuesday, but Sunday Brunch is still on our minds. For that one day a week we forget to set our clocks and wake up to the sweet smell of Brunch. Now there is a new scent wafting through Miami at Cantina la Veinte, where all the buzz is surrounding their new Mexican-style buffet.

In partnership with luxury Champagne brand, Veuve Cliquot, Chef Santiago Gomez has created a bubbly brunch buffet for any budget. Veuve Clicquot Brut are $50 a bottle.

Make your way through the gold and black sliding doors, past the fully-stocked bar on your right, and down the stairway to foodie heaven. Downstairs you will discover rows of long tables with chairs on one side and a couch on the other. Overhead there are white beams with ceiling fans to keep Miamians in their cool. Also, overhead, a vertical garden with sparkly lights that seems to grow from the walls to the roof like a perfectly groomed landscape.

While we can’t keep our eyes off the patio, we catch a glimpse of Brickell Key as the breeze swifts by. The breeze also carries with it the scent of that Sunday Brunch. And so, the waiter takes our margarita orders and we make our way to the buffet waiting across the room.

Expect to find breakfast favorites like Huevos Rancheros and homemade Enchiladas. From left to right, there are stations for every appetite from bagels and fruits to a taco station with all the trimmings. On our plate, we stacked the Cochinita Sopes on one side and Chilaquiles on the other. We went for seconds of the Fideo Seco dish presented in a paella cooking pan.

Desserts had their own table, as they should. We had one of each (oops, what diet?).

There were mini churros dipped into a small cup of caramel, chewy brownies, arroz con leche, and even a creamy chocolate mousse.

Brunch is in the air and we can’t wait to visit Cantina la Veinte once more. It is available every Sunday from 12:30 PM to 4 PM for $50 per person. Add on $20 for unlimited Margaritas and you are well on your way to foodie heaven... and probably a nap afterwards.
