Wine Wednesday: RAW WINE Natural wine tasting in Miami and more
RAW WINE, the world's leading natural wine fair that's annually held in London, Montreal, New York, LA, and Berlin - is making its way to Miami for the first time on Wed, 10/30 at Paradise Plaza in the Design District.
Natural Wine is farmed organically (biodynamically, using permaculture or the like) and made (or rather transformed) without adding or removing anything in the cellar. No additives, sugars or processing aids are used, and ‘intervention’ in the naturally occurring fermentation process is kept to a minimum. As such neither fining nor (tight) filtration are used. The result is a living wine – wholesome and full of naturally occurring microbiology. They are natural, artisan products with the following elements:
1. Organic grapes, grown without the use of artificial chemicals
2. Wine prepared by hand using artisanal techniques.
3. Made using traditional winemaking processes that enable balance.
4. Creating a living wine, with low intervention in the cellar.
5. Promoting wellbeing in individuals & communities.
The RAWWINE one-day pop-up will feature tastings from over 70 natural, biodynamic and low-intervention organic producers for all over the world. The event is also a wonderful way to learn about natural wine and the benefits of no added sugar and pesticide-free wines. Meet the growers and importers from the natural wine community. Tickets are $30 for industry, $70 for public for the full day tasting.

In tandem with RAW WINE’s inaugural Miami festival, Boia De - the funky new restaurant in Upper Buena Vista - will join in the celebration of the world’s best producers of natural, organic and biodynamic wines with special wine offers, tastings, and talks. On Thursday, October 31, 5:00PM – 6:30PM: Boia De will host a wine tasting and talk with distributor Arash Selects and Zev Rovine Selections, one of the leading natural wine importers in the country. Arash represents Zev in Miami, and both will lead the tasting with winemakers from the portfolio. Tickets are priced at $15, and include snacks.
