Friday January 29New Japanese spot, Ichimi will open to the public in Coral Gables on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 4PM. Ichimi – Japanese for “dedicated to” – will feature an affordable, diverse menu showcasing Old World and modern cooking techniques, at once deeply rooted in the classics while forward-looking and, above all else, undeniably flavorful and crave-worthy.  Helmed by Executive Chef Constantine De Lucia, formerly of Momi Ramen, Lure Fishbar and Estiatorio Milos by Costas Spiliadis,  With the help of one of the region’s only authentic noodle-making machines (imported from Japan), Ichimi will showcase ramen.  Traditional ramen offerings will include Tonkotsu – pork belly, hanjuku egg, bamboo shoots, takana and bean sprouts; Seafood – clams, shrimp, garlic confit, lemongrass, micro radish, pea tendrils and scallion; and Veggie – shōyu (soy sauce), Shiitake and Nameko mushrooms, mung bean, scallions, bamboo shoots and red pepper. Monday February 1st Quality Meats Miami Beach is hosting an exclusive dinner featuring the acclaimed Napa Valley wines of Paul Hobbs Winery on Monday, February 1 at 7PM. Owner and winemaker Paul Hobbs, twice named Wine Personality of the Year by leading U.S. wine critic Robert J. Parker, and dubbed the Steve Jobs of wine by Forbes Magazine will be in attendance. Quality Meats chef de cuisine Patrick Rebholz has created a very special 4 course menu for the evening designed to pair perfectly with Hobbs’ stellar 90 point plus vintages.  The dinner is priced at $165.00 per person including tax and gratuity.  Seating is limited and reservations are required at mvasallo@qualitybranded.com. Monday February 1st-  Beginning February 1, Verde at the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) will be offering a prix-fixe menu option for an express lunch in conjunction with the PAMM’s new hours of operation on Mondays. Each Monday, visitors can enjoy a delicious lunch created by chef Kaytlin Brakefield with a stunning bayside view in 45 minutes or less. This lunch is perfect for time-pressed locals and business executives looking to impress their guests. The prix-fixe menu includes one beverage and two courses. Tuesday February 2nd-  Alton Roads favorite restaurant, Macchialina hosts a special 4 course collaborative wine dinner featuring Chef Michael Pirolo and Allesandro Taras of Argiolas Winery Estate. Dinner begins at 7 pm and is $75 pp. Macchialina 820 Alton Rd. Miami Beach, FL. 305 534 2124

Friday February 5th- Bazi, noted for its exciting take on traditional Far East cuisine, is introducing a Champagne & Caviar Happy Hour from 5-8 pm beginning on the first Friday of the month, guests can treat themselves to the highest quality caviars on the market at accessible price points including rich and savory varieties of Russian Black Osetra ($100 / 2oz) and Golden Osetra ($110 / 2oz). The indulgent caviar is served with a selection of delicacies including Bazi’s house made scallion pancakes, nori sabayon, red onion, grated egg whites, grated egg yolks, lime crème fraiche, corn fritters and chives.  Champagne specials and specialty cocktails will be available. Friday February 5thHakkasan at Fontainebleau Miami Beach will celebrate the Year of the Monkey from February 5-14 with a limited edition menu created by International Executive Chef Ho Chee Boon alongside an exclusive cocktail and dessert. Hakkasan restaurants around the world will continue to honor the Chinese wishing tree tradition inspired by the Lam Tsuen Wishing Trees in Hong Kong. During this auspicious time, guests will be invited to share their hopes for the coming year by writing their wishes on gold ribbons and hanging them in the restaurant. Friday February 5thDelano Beach Club kicks off A Taste of Brazil, its lively new weekly BBQ event, on Friday, February 5th at 7 pm. The buffet will feature authentic Brazilian specialties including churrasco, black beans & rice and acai, while DJ Beto Giovannetti and live performers set the mood for you to samba the night away. Saturday February 6thIt’s Pisco Sour Day on February 6 and  we wanted to share a couple recipes from SUSHISAMBA on Lincoln Road and in Coral Gables, and from GK Bistronomie in Wynwood:

Chicha Sour Cocktail at GK Bistronomie:

2 oz of CHICHA infused la caravedo PISCO
1 oz of house made pineapple cinnamon syrup
1 oz fresh squeezed lime
1 egg white
Angostura

SESAME SOUR 15 from SUSHISAMBA:

1.5 oz. Hibiki 12YO Whisky

.75 oz. lemon juice

.75 oz. sugar syrup

1 tsp. toasted black sesame oil

black sesame seeds ( garnish)
