The 2019 Major League Baseball season has officially begun. Marlins fans and South Florida residents have plenty to look forward to this season – on and off the field. This season, the Marlins enhanced their “street to seat” game day experience and reimagined the ballpark’s food concepts.

In order to infuse an authentic sense of “Comunidad,” the Marlins introduced new Miami-Centric additions to the ballpark to celebrate the 305 during every game.

What better way to infuse Miami in a ballpark than thru the Latin flavors and foods? The Marlins have updated all 12 of their previous food concepts and added two additional for a total of 14 that fans can enjoy from.

Dining options at Marlins Park now include:

  • Pincho (section 19): Latin-inspired burgers and bowls served fresh with a side of attitude can be found here. Try the zesty chicken or steak “Pincho” skewers or any of their incredible burgers. Just don’t forget the sweet potato tots.

  • Fowl Pole (section 5): Serving all things chicken, Fowl Pole is a chicken coop concept of traditional chicken tenders and grilled chicken sandwiches that also features spicy Nashville chicken sandwiches and chicken and bubble waffles.

  • La Cocina presented by Goya (section 40): Miami favorites such as pan con bistec sandwiches with potato sticks, Cuban sandwiches, and yucca fries are available along with jerk chicken & grilled pineapple sandwiches with guava BBQ sauce.

  • SuViche (section 23): Japanese and Peruvian flair can be found here to include sushi rolls, ceviches and “aji de gallina” with shredded chicken breast over white rice, tender potatoes, smothered in Amarillo cream sauce.

  • Novecento (section 24): If you’re looking for handmade empanadas and bistro style fare, try the steak empanadas, choripan and signature steak sandwich.

  • El Mercadito (section 1): This diet-friendly market concept offers fresh & healthy grab-and-go options from salads and wraps to fruit cups.

  • Sweets (section 34): Serving everything from traditional scoops of ice cream, soft-serve, and ice cream sandwiches to novelty treats like bubble waffle crackerjack sundaes to sweet cereal crusted pretzels, which are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth cravings.

Perhaps one of the most exciting enhancements and additions to Marlins Park this season, is the addition of two new concepts: Butterfly Tacos and La Pepa by Chef Jose Andres.

La Pepa (section 8) began as a spin-off to Andres’ Pepe food truck and offers a variety of specialty craft sandwiches. We recommend the  the Pollo Frito with hand-battered fried chicken, lettuce, piparra peppers, garlic aioli, spicy tomato sauce served on olive oil brioche, the Frito pie topped with Spanish Iberico pork chili, Idiazabal cheese sauce, and the Butifarra dog which is a pork sausage finished with aioli.

Butterfly tacos (section 8) showcases Andres’ extraordinary Mexican street food reminiscent of Oyamel, his Mexican restaurant concept. Enjoy tortillas filled with pork, charred chicken, beef and meaty trumpet mushrooms topped with picked onions, guacamole, and serrano salsa. The papas al mole offers French fries drizzled in a smoky peppery mole sauce and crumbled cheese.

The Marlins also unveiled a new 3o5 Menu this season. Marlins fans can enjoy a taste of the ballpark for just $3 or $5 each making it affordable to enjoy a meal at the ballpark. The $3 menu features quintessential ballpark food such as a ballpark hot dog, popcorn, pretzel, nachos, 16.9 fl oz. bottle of water and a 16 fl oz. fountain soda. Fans can enjoy the $5 menu which features mojo pork tacos, and a 12 oz. domestic draft beer. The 3o5 Menu is available at the concessions in sections 13 & 37 and is available at all home games, which is a homerun!

As if the new ballpark dining options aren’t exciting enough, the Marlins will unveil their new weekend lineup, “party en el parque,” which will appeal to Marlins fans and non-baseball fans alike.

On Friday nights, fans can count on Little Havana Nights which promise attendees a unique experience including food, local music and cool drink selections. Saturday nights will feature a post-game concert, and families can enjoy the Marlins new “Sunday Fundays,” which begin with pregame activities at the 5th base. Children can also collect Marlins swag and even run the bases where the pros play after the game.
