CRAFT: Spirits & Beer Tasting Gallery returns at Miami Beach Fillmore

CRAFT: Spirits & Beer announced today that the second edition of this celebrated namesake trade and consumer event will return to Miami on Jan. 30-31, and will take place at The Fillmore Miami Beach (1700 Washington Avenue).  Last year’s CRAFT walk around tasting attracted more than 500 consumers and 400 artisanal spirits and beers from around the United States.  This year the program will focus on dedicated days, which target trade and consumer audiences’ respectively. The resolve is a show that is focused on networking and education, while conveying the integrity, passion and tradition that is CRAFT.

Founded and organized by Jennifer Massolo of The Liquid Projects ( and a MIAbites contributor ), CRAFT’s inaugural show in 2013 drew some of the industry’s most buzzed-about spirit and beer makers. This second edition boasts an equally great line up including St. George Spirits, Kilchoman Distillery, Sorrel Hibiscus Liqueur, J. Wakefield Brewing, Balcones Distilling, Cliffton Dry Cider and High West

A Trade-Only day is scheduled for Friday January 30 with pre-registration required.

“It is great to see the craft industry’s growth over this past year,” says Jennifer Massolo, “Industry predictions show an upswing for new-on-the-scene producers of vermouth from Spain and the United States as well as an increase in agave-based spirits.  We have seen expressed interest from these sectors of exhibitors and are excited to welcome brands like Quady Vermouth for the first time.”

On Saturday, Jan. 31, CRAFT will open-to-the-public, with VIP tickets granting access one hour early at 3:00 p.m. and General Admission beginning at 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., showcasing an amplified afternoon that will fill the senses with artisanal spirits, beers, cocktails and food pairings.  “Craft cool” will be captured in traditional and non-traditional approaches.  A culinary sampling with some of the city’s most authentic eats include Chef Michael Schwartz’s Cypress Room and Gastropod’s Jeremiah Bullfrog, each preparing complementary bites alongside nine select mixologists to offer the perfect cocktail and food pairing.

These booths will also be flanked by other spirits and artisanal food vendors along with lifestyle concepts ranging from tobacco companies to barber shops.

Tickets for the consumer Tasting Gallery January 31 experience can be purchased for $65 per person for general admission (4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.) or $85 per person for VIP admission (3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.).   To purchase tickets, for more information, or to get involved in the second edition of CRAFT, please visit www.craftspiritsandbeer.com.
