Wednesday August 26th-  The Mandarin Oriental Bar, MO Bar + Lounge hosts Miami Herald Food editor and beer aficionado , Evan Benn, from 7:30-9 for an interactive Beer Chat and Tasting.  Attendees will have chance to discuss in an intimate environment the unique qualities of beer, including tastings of Miami Brewing Club, Brew Hub and Concrete Beach. Thursday August 27th- SUSHISAMBA Coral Gables hosts another Thursday Robata Rub, featuring Chef David Sears and guest, James Tahhan, Telemundo Networks celebrity chef and host of “Un Nuevo Dia” for a traditional Japanese BBQ technique of grilling using binchotan, Japanese oak based charcoal.  For $50 pp enjoy 5 Robata specialties paired with two Ocucaje Peruvian Pisco cocktails.  SUSHISAMBA 180 Aragon Ave. Coral Gables, FL. 305 448 4990.

Friday August 28th The Wolfsonian-FIU Museum on Miami Beach plays host to Movie and Box Dinner this Thursday August 28th.  Screening the popular 1980’s film,  Nine to Five, attendees are invited to select from two choices of box dinner.  For $15 the package includes a Mediterrean  Platter with falafel, feta, diced tomatoes hummus, pita and movie snacks.  For $18, the dinner box includes poached salmon on quinoa salad, sliced tomatoes with balsamic dressing and movie snacks. Saturday August 29th- Cool down on Saturday as J. Wakefield Brewing hosts it's Fourth Annual Florida Weisse ( Vice-uh) Beer Festival featuring the fruity and sour influenced beers, unique to Florida.  The result is tart and thirst quenching, resembling something closer to a mimosa or beer cocktail perfect for brunch. ABV range is in the 2-5% region. Sunday August 30th- Ms Cheezious does it again! WHO LET THE DOGS OUT? (Who? Who?) This Sunday, August 30th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. PBR, Jamie’s Rescue, Miami’s Independent Thinkers, and Didirok have teamed up with Ms Cheezious for a dog-friendly “Barks, Brews & BBQ”. Grab your four-legged friend or borrow your friend’s pup (just don’t forget the leash) for a “Sunday Funday” afternoon out on the patio. Ms. Cheezious Chef-owner Brian Mullins will be firing up the grill and smoker for some special Sunday BBQ bites, and thanks to PBR, guests will receive a FREE beer with any BBQ or grilled cheese purchase. But that’s just the beginning… Jamie’s Rescue, Miami dog rescue, will be at the Ms. Cheezious digs with their dogs! These furry friends will be on-site for lots of love, playtime, smooches, and will hopefully find new homes since they’ll all be up for adoption. Guests can leave with a new pet, or just their bellies full and their minds content knowing that the proceeds from the incredibly talented Miami artist Didirok live painting will benefit the pups at Jamie’s Rescue non-profit.
