Donuts or Doughnuts: Top Donuts for National Donut Day
To Donut or Not to Dough-not, that is the question. Tomorrow, June 3rd is National Donut Day. And Miami has embraced this sugary item as more than just a breakfast treat. 2016 has truly become the Year of The Donut.
In addition to FREE donuts at National chains Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme, Miami’s first artisanal donut shoppe, The Salty Donut, is hosting a SOLD OUT exclusive release party on Friday June 3rd from 7-10 pm in celebration of its partnership with LYFE Brand, a local lifestyle fashion brand for the introduction of a limited edition t-shirt for National Donut Day.
Knowledgeable fans of The Salty Donut know well that Executive pastry chef and chief donutier, Max Santiago, and his team hand-craft donuts in small batches, to ensure every customer gets the freshest little bundles of dough possible. Everyhting is made in house. The fillings, the glazes, the jams, the doughs, the compotes…… everything starts off as raw ingredients of the highest possible quality.
If you missed out of grabbing a ticket to the party ( they sold out in 60 minutes! ), the official afterparty for the event is open to the public and will take place at The Anderson Bar in Miami’s burgeoning MiMo District. This is a party not to be missed. The Salty Donut has worked in collaboration with The Anderson to create a unique donut and cocktail pairing special for one night only. Yes, you read it right, donuts and drinks.
Some other Miami donut options include:
