Chef Niven Patel Opens Ghee In Downtown Dadeland
After what felt like an eternity – the wait is finally over, Chef Niven Patel, formerly the chef de cuisine at Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink has opened the doors of Ghee Miami. Niven, along with his wife Shivani, and very dedicated family are bringing Miami the modern Indian restaurant we’ve been missing all along.
The 70 seat restaurant features a menu of delicious seasonal dishes, many of which are made with ingredients from Rancho Patel, the family’s two acre farm in the Redlands. The menu is split into 6 categories including: Snacks, Vegetables, Basmati Rice, Curries, Grilled, and Breads.
Everything is portioned to share and serve family style. On a first visit, it can be hard to not order one of everything, as each dish sounds wonderful. Your best bet is to start with a few dishes from each section to allow for a variety of deliciousness to come to your table. You’re definitely going to keep coming back for more – so don’t worry, you’ll make it through the entire menu soon enough.
