Whispering Angel introduces new Rosé: The Palm
The popular term, “Rosé All Day” just a got a lot better. At last nights, South Beach Wine and Food Festival VIP Directors event at The Shelborne hosted by SOBEWFF founder, Lee Schrager, The Palm by Whispering Angel was introduced for the first time. National Director of Sales, Paul Chevalier, presented the 2017 vintage rosé to an enthusiastic crowd of SOBEWFF sponsors and media.
The “not as pale” pink wine has soft fruity notes and is a bit more robust than its big sister, Whispering Angel, which just celebrated its tenth year anniversary. The packaging includes a pretty pink label featuring palm trees and leaves and is designed to make one feel like they are on vacation while sipping.
In chatting with Paul, we talked about the inspiration for the name. He shared with me that the US is the largest market for Whispering Angel, and they wanted to offer a new wine that played on the emotions and that happy feeling of sitting on the beach or poolside under breezy palm trees. Thoughts of summertime, and vacations ensued, and with Miami as one of their major markets, wanted to unveil The Palm here.
Made at Chateau d’Esclans in Provence, France, The Palm by Whispering Angel will join Whispering Angel and Rock Angel in making rosé a wine for year-round drinking. As Paul said,
