Orange Bowl Food & Wine Event May 11th to feature Chefs Jeff McInnis and Janine Booth

Jeff McInnis and Janine Booth, Chef/Partners at Stiltsville Fish Bar in Miami Beach, will serve as celebrity chefs for the annual Orange Bowl Food & Wine Celebration presented by Florida Blue, Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center at 6:30 p.m.

The charitable arm of the Orange Bowl has been able to invest millions of dollars in the South Florida community through its four pillars of community outreach: youth sports, fundraising and community events, academic programs and scholarships, and legacy gifts.  This year’s event benefits Make A Wish SFLa, The Special Olympics SFLa, and the Orange Bowl Leadership Academy. In addition to enjoying samples from over 30 of South Florida’s top restaurants, event attendees will enjoy an open bar, live entertainment, raffles and a complimentary gift bag. One outstanding South Florida resident will be honored with the 2017 Keith Tribble Community Service Excellence Award for the work he or she does to make a difference.

Ambassador Chefs, McInnis and Booth were born and raised in Niceville, Florida and in Perth, Australia respectively and boast two diverse and impressive culinary resumes. After traveling the world and experimenting with different cultures and cuisines, the couple, who met while working together in Miami, and opened Root & Boot in NYC, decided to expand their culinary brands to their beloved city of Miami. They chose the hip Sunset Harbour area for Stiltsville Fish Bar, a Florida fish house concept, in partnership with Grove Bay Hospitality Group.

Soon after the opening of Stiltsville, McInnis and Booth opened their second Miami restaurant, a pop-up of their New York City southern restaurant, Root & Bone, in Miami Beach’s Shelborne South Beach Hotel.

McInnis and Booth have both appeared on Bravo’s Emmy award-winning “Top Chef,” putting their personalities and talent front and center on a national stage. Chef Booth was a recent semi-finalist for a James Beard Award of Rising Star Chef of the Year and has been recognized in publications including both Forbes and Zagat’s 30 Under 30 awards.
