Sunday Funday: Brunching on the Beach at Oceans 234
What better way to celebrate “Fall” in Florida than by enjoying brunch with a view of the ocean? Well, you can certainly SEA life’s beauty at Oceans 234. Located in Deerfield Beach just off of A1A, this is the kind of place you do not want to miss out on.
Oceans 234 is open for lunch, happy hour, dinner, and Sunday brunch. Given the large space available at Oceans, this is also the perfect spot for a private event. You would be doing yourself a disservice by not sitting outside on their covered patio, which is just feet away from the sandy beach and the blue sea.
Our outdoors brunch began with drinks- we had the Tito’s Blueberry Lemonade, made with Tito's handmade vodka, fresh lemonade and blueberry purée and a Blood Orange Margarita, made with Exotico 100% blue agave tequila, fresh lime, blood orange juice & agave 13. I am not a cocktail fan (I usually prefer wine), but the drinks were incredible and went down like juice.
Because I have celiac disease, I was pleased to see their extensive gluten free menu. I felt even more comfortable that our waiter knew the gluten free menu front and back. As an appetizer, we shared the (gluten free) Steamed Mussels, tossed with a white wine garlic broth and tomatoes. This was my first time trying mussels and I will never look back!
For the main course, I enjoyed the (gluten free version) Sweet Potato Hash, which was served on a skillet with poached eggs, turkey sausage, bell peppers, and kale. This took my breath away. The dish was seasoned nicely and the sweet potatoes were cooked to perfection.
My friend had the Steak and Egg skillet, which had chimichurri skirt steak, home fries, and poached eggs. His meal had me drooling.
The food is spectacular, the service is great, and the ocean view is nothing short of fabulous. I am already planning the next time I can go back to Oceans 234!
