‘Tis Winter Truffle Season in South Florida
While there are hundreds of varieties of truffles only a few are choice edibles. The coveted winter truffles have found their way onto many menus this time of year.
Both the black winter truffle found in the wild of the Perigord region of France, and the white truffle from the Piedmont and Alba regions of Italy are available in select and creative dishes at these top restaurants in South Florida.
Black Truffle Arancini – Pizza Craft Pizzeria, Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Pizza Craft is known for serving indulgent old-school Italian specialties that marry traditional ingredients with bold flavors. Not-to-be-missed for truffle aficionados, the restaurant’s signature Black Truffle Arancini with Fontina and Parmigiano. Served with red sauce on the side for dipping, the Italian appetizer/snack packs a flavorful punch in every bite.
Tagliolini Nero – Boia De, Miami, Florida
Boia De, Miami’s charming modern Italian restaurant was awarded a Michelin star in 2022. With seasonal dishes like White Truffle Tagliatelle with truffle butter, Emilia-Romagna white truffle and parmesan ($95) and menu favorite Tagliolini Nero served with King Crab, Vin Jaune, Truffle and herbs, it's easy to see why they were recognized by Michelin.
Truffle connoisseurs will be thrilled to hear about TUR Kitchen’s special truffle offerings honoring the truffle season. On the menu, they are currently serving black truffles from Burgundy and white truffles from Alba as enhancements. Chef Christian recommends adding these enhancements to the Farro dish, made of Emmer Wheat Berries, Gratitude Garden Farm Mushrooms and Chili. Adding truffle on top supplies the perfect amount of flavor and the experience is elegant and special as it is served as a table-side service.
Beef Tiradito- Toro Toro, Miami, Florida

Fried Rice- Phuc Yea, Miami, Florida
Millionaire Fried Rice ($27) with egg, black truffle, truffle oil, black pepper, chives, quail egg. This impressive dish is also gluten free.
It’s a truffle lover's dream at The Setai, Miami Beach. The iconic South Beach luxury hotel hosts Jaya, a casually elegant Pan-Asian restaurant, where diners are invited to indulge on black truffle dishes all season. Options range from signature Truffle Dumplings with Scallops, Shrimp, and Black Truffle-Emulsion ($24) to Beef Tataki featuring Seared Striploin, Shaved Truffles, Ponzu, Garlic Chips and Crispy Leeks ($32). In addition, all steaks on the menu, including filet mignon and New York striploin, can be enhanced with black truffle, starting at $20 per gram. The hotel’s oceanfront restaurant, Ocean Grill, also offers guests a taste of truffles with a Truffle Pizza of Mozzarella di Bufala, Robiola Cheese, Mascarpone and White Truffle Oil ($28).
