Weekly Nibble: Peel and maman Collab on the Ultimate Summer Treat
Crafted by their female founders, Valeria Alvarez (Peel) and Elisa Marshall (maman), the sandwich comes filled with Peel’s signature banana soft served between two of maman’s Oprah-approved, nutty chocolate chip cookies, merging each concept’s OG flavors together for one decadent treat (Napkin usage to ensue).
Non-dairy and with no added sugar, Peel Soft Serve is made with perfectly edible fruit that would otherwise go to waste simply because of its looks.
“I was so inspired by Valeria's story when I met her at a conference a few months ago and knew I wanted to find a way to work together. She is the true definition of a Miami female entrepreneur who has built such an incredible concept with Peel and share that commonality of building our businesses from the ground up. After hours of sampling and recipe testing with all of our different cookies and soft serve variations, we realized that our favorite contender was the distinct flavors that made us who we are today,” says Elisa Marshall of maman.

From Friday, August 23-Saturday, August 24, Peel will be popping up at maman Sunset Harbour (1874 Bay Rd, Miami Beach, FL 33139) selling the specialty Ice Cream Sandwich along with their banana soft serve.
“I don't know how Elisa does it all. Not only is she a successful business owner, but she is an interior designer, branding guru and most importantly, a mom. Taking the big leap from New York to Miami is not easy, but Elisa has done it gracefully and has brought Maman along which is such an exciting new addition to Miami. Making an ice cream sandwich together was a no brainer and we had such a blast testing our options - maybe too much fun because who doesn't love soft serve and cookies” says Valeria Alvarez of Peel.
The ice cream sandwich will be sold at $9 and a percent of sales will be going to Food Rescue US South Florida, who will also be rescuing and donating all leftover items from maman to local shelters in the area such as Lotus House.
