Gastropod and Liquorette pop up with Cha-Chunker for Art Basel

'Tis the season of the Art Basel Pop-up.  Michy's Pop-up at Miami Beach Botanical Garden, Dominique Ansel's Soft Serve Pop-up at The Setai and NOW, Chef Jeremiah Bullfrog's GastroPod in Wynwood is hosting a special food and beverage pop-up that Art Basel attendees are welcome to check out - no tickets required.

What's new for this year is that he will be featuring the father of the modern mixology movement, Eben Freeman, and his latest and greatest cocktails from NYC's recently-opened hotspot GENUINE Liquorette  - home of the Cha-Chunker cocktail.  It will be called Mini Liquorette at Art Basel.

GENUINE Liquorette has already been the talk of the town in NYC with articles in The New York Times and Time Out New York featuring Eben's quirky and fun mini bulldog-style cocktails he calls "Cha-Chunkers" made with the Cha-Chunker machine, which is designed to widen the mouth of cans of juice and soda making room for an overturned mini bottle of booze, straw and garnish directly into the can (photo below).

At Art Basel, he'll be bringing a piece of Liquorette to Miami featuring the actual Cha-Chunker machine as well as 3 of the favorite Cha-Chunker cocktails - the Paloma (tequila and grapefruit soda), a Dark and Stormy (rum and ginger beer) and a Jamo and Ginga (Jameson and ginger ale).

Eben will be mixing drinks at the GastroPod Thursday 12/3 from 6pm - 2am; Friday 12/4 -Saturday 12/5 from 6pm - 3am and Sunday 12/6 from 12pm - 12amGastroPod will be open for food starting at 12pm serving such Chef Jeremiah favorites as Mo'Betta Burger, Crispy Chicken Sammich ,Old Dirt Dawg and more.   In addition to Eben, there may be possible appearances from other lauded bartenders and mixologists who have contributed to Liquorette's "Cocktail Collaborative" including Yael Vengroff (The Spare Room), Toby Maloney (The Violet Hour) and Miami's own John Lermayer (The Regent Cocktail Club).
