Slow Food Miami: The Freshest Night Out Returns
After a two-year hiatus, Slow Food Miami’s 12th annual “Snail of Approval” Tasting Party is back, taking place at The Palms Hotel and Spa on Miami Beach on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 7-10 PM.

This annual event is Slow Food Miami’s (SFM) night to honor Miami chefs, restaurants, artisans and purveyors who make sustainability and local sourcing of paramount importance. The celebration goes hand-in-hand with SFM’s mission to support local farmers/growers and help educate future generations about the importance of smart, responsible sourcing and the authentic origins of the food we eat.
Tickets are available to purchase via Eventbrite HERE. Guests will indulge in tastes from Miami’s farm-to-table best, including a mix of current and past “Snail of Approval” honorees, including The Palms Hotel’s very own Essensia Restaurant and Bar!
General admission tickets are
$128 per person in advance; $148 per person at the door. VIP Garden Sponsor tickets
are $750 and include a garden box for a school and free entry to Freshest Night Out.
2023 honorees include 2023 James Beard Nominee, Chef Niven Patel (Orno and Mamey); Chef Christian Chirino (TUR Kitchen); Nicolas Miller (Empower Farms); Patricia Olsen (Under the Mango Tree); Chef Giorgio Rapicavoli (Luca Osterio and Eating House); Karla Dascal and Dylan Weiser (Paradise Farms); Julio Cardenas (Succulent Street Food) and Chef Kunj (Daavat Catering and Events LLC).
“We are so excited to be back and returning to our home away from home, The Palms Hotel and Spa, featuring the newly renovated Essensia Restaurant and Bar, a Snail of Approval Honoree since 2011,” says SFM Chair Michele Benesch. “We have truly missed our annual opportunity to spotlight the chefs, artisans and growers who embrace Slow Food’s ethos and put it to practice. The funds we raise directly benefit our edible garden school program and every year it becomes more important to get to kids and show them what real food is and where it comes from.”
