Sunday Champagne Brunch at RED South Beach
Known as one of the country’s top twenty steak restaurants with the talented Chef Peter Vauthy at the helm, RED South Beach, now three years in its South Pointe location, has begun offering a unique Champagne Sunday Brunch experience.
Once seated in the sleek dining room, each table is presented with an enormous, warm and sinfully delicious cinnamon roll topped with glistening chopped pecans. Certainly NOT your average breadbasket!
From there the menu includes nine unlimited starter options.
Among them: Blue Crab Ravioli with Crab Cream which has a satisfyingly spicy finish; Truffle Pasta with Porcini Mushrooms, Black and White Truffle Cream and Black Truffles, rich and full of umami goodness;
Tuna Tartare, elegantly served on a bed of seaweed salad with diced cucumber, avocado, a lightly spiced mayo and crispy wonton triangles;
Oysters on the Half Shell topped with a delicious mignonette sauce; and Smoked Salmon bagel with Horseradish Crème Fraiche, a classic favorite.
By the way...did I mention these items (and more) are UNLIMITED?? Yes, you and your fellow diners can order any or all of these “starter” dishes and even go back for seconds of your favorite ones. So, make sure you leave plenty of room after indulging in the glorious cinnamon roll!
The menu also includes the choice of one entree. The Lobster Pot Pie, creamy and full of rich lobster flavor, is served in an individual, flaky and golden puff pastry vol-au-vent.
The King Salmon is perfectly cooked with a crispy skin and served on a bed of corn, cherry tomatoes and baby spinach.
Other entree options include Chicken & Waffles with Cinnamon Crème Fraiche and Wood Creek Maple Syrup; Avocado Toast with Heirloom Tomato, Feta Cheese and Poached Egg; and Filet Oscar Benedict on Brioche with Poached Organic Eggs and Crab Bearnaise.
For an added charge this entree can be upgraded from a Filet to a 32-ounce King Crab Crusted, Dry Aged Tomahawk Steak. If you still have room for dessert, Tiramisu, cheesecake and mini powdered doughnuts are on offer.
The per person prix fixe for this generous feast is tiered depending on which Champagne you choose to accompany your brunch: Telmont Réserve Brut - $109 per person; Ruinart Rosé - $199 per person or Veuve Clicquot Grand Dame - $299 per person. Throughout your meal the Champagne of your choice is continuously poured for your enjoyment. The service is welcoming, friendly, and professional.
