Grab some lime and salt, because it’s National Tequila Day!

Read MoreEach year on July 11th, people across America join together to mark National Mojito Day. We don’t know how many people really celebrate this holiday, but we certainly do! The Mojito is a traditional Cuban highball consisting of white rum, sugar, lime juice, sparkling water and mint.
It’s got low alcohol content and is a refreshing cocktail that in Miami can be enjoyed all year long, but around the rest of the world it has found popularity in the summertime and is loved for its combination of sweetness, citrus, and mint flavors.
A classic Mojito has lime wedges and mint leaves garnished an ice filled glass. Although born in Cuba, the exact origin of the Mojito is under debate with theories with origins as early as 1586.

Read MoreTALDE Miami Beach is not only known for its eclectic, Mafioso rap culture-esque environment and great playlists, but also the classic Chinese-driven dishes made by chef and entertaining personality, Dale Talde. This month he released a few new menu items that he says are inspired by what he craves when he wakes up at noon after a long night out. New dishes include, Chicken Fried Rice, General Talde’s Chicken, Shrimp Toast, Fried Dumplings and a few others.
We stopped in for dinner (and of course their newly launched happy hour) recently to see what all the hype was about. One bite of the Shrimp Toast – with preserved vegetables and soy vinegar aioli – and we knew we were hooked and ready to eat one of everything on the new menu.

Everything is light and fresh – including cocktails! In the spirit of spring, I’ve done some "spring spirit research" and came up with a list of can’t miss cocktails for the season at some of my favorite spots around town.

Pinch has added a Happy Hour and a once a week Jazzy Ladies Night to the menu.
